Recognizing her love of our African families and the mission of Kilimanjaro Kidz Education Foundation to send our kiddos to private school, the Star Power family showed up BIG in their support.
Amy and Stephanie, plus Amy’s amazing colleagues and friends, have just gotten back from the pièce de résistance of Amy’s day job – the annual Star Power Conference. With an audience of hundreds of people, some of whom have known Amy and her heart for over 25 years and some of whom she had just met, we were astounded by their kindness and generosity for the Kilimanjaro Kidz Foundation.
Friend, Jay Iszo, donned his sparkly pink sequins and Nashville (and Jay) staple cowboy hat to auction off African Art, jewelry, consulting, and shadowing experiences. African-made bags, donated books, and a piggy bank full of cash were also gifted our way for Kilimanjaro Kidz.
As we grow close to our September deadline for paying the tuitions for next year, such generosity is a huge blessing! But I have to say that I was even more touched by people’s desire to help in any way because of Amy’s passion for these families and what you have promised to do for them.
Thank you for doing all the good you do, by all the means you do, in all the ways you do, in all the places you do, at all the times you do for all the people you do.

Jambo! My name is Hellen. I am 14 years old, and I go to Visitation Secondary School. I am with my mother and younger brother and could not be attending school without our sponsor. I would like to become a doctor.
Tragedy Strikes Other Friends in Tanzania
Leaders of Tomorrow Children’s Home in Arusha, Tanzania, is an orphanage and so much more that Amy, Dawna, and Stephanie all visited as a part of their 2019 trip to climb, love, and safari.
They recently experienced a fire that completely destroyed the dormitory where the children and their director, Mwajabu, resided. Rebuilding efforts will be underway, and they are raising funds through GoFundMe to make their rebuilding efforts possible.

2024 Funding: A Critical Time
We will be paying school fees in September. With a few students needing replacement sponsors, and 11 new children on the wait list, we are determined to find those ready to help, either by fully sponsoring or as partial sponsors.

Our students, who range in age from 4 to 19, are so thankful for having their education secured, and removing a huge burden from their family’s daily concerns.
$900 per year, just $75/month, covers not only the tuition for the year, but also health insurance, school supplies, uniforms, books, transportation to and from school, and two meals each school day. If you want to help, but don’t feel that amount is achievable right now, we’ve ADDED OPTIONS for partial sponsorships for as little as $25 per month. And we continue to welcome one-time donations in ANY amount, as they contribute to the whole of what we do.
