Easter in Tanzania is a time of celebration and hope – and for most children, two weeks or more off from school!
Reports for the first quarter of 2021 are of the children doing exceptionally well in school, and looking forward to returning Monday, April 12.
Hope Springs Eternal
Tanzania’s new President, formerly the Vice President, is a woman – a first for the country.
It is inspiring to many of the girls to realize that women who get a good education can aspire to be a head of state!
For our still-unemployed porters, knowing their children are receiving education and meals throughout the week frees them up to seek temporary work and have hope for a return to the mountain soon.
YOUR involvement gives these children hope for a better future. Please seek out others like you who want to help! We have 7 students ready to make the switch today when new sponsors step up. Please help us make this happen in the first half of this year!
Meet the Kidz…
Meet Ida, who is 16. She attends Visitation Girls Secondary School near Moshi. Her aspiration is to become an architect! The traditionally male field will be blessed to have this sharp young lady in its ranks. She is scoring top of her class and her father is so proud!
