Kilimanjaro Kidz Education Foundation needs your help to find more sponsors!
We set an ambitious goal this year to welcome 21 new sponsors in 2021. We have 4 already, and we are confident we will attract 17 more. Spread the good word to people you know who will enjoy being a sponsor of our fantastic Kilimanjaro Kidz!
Peace for Kilimanjaro Kidz
Tanzania’s newly elected President passed away this week. Losing your national leader definitely creates uncertainty. Add to that a full year of being unemployed for many of our porter parents, and there is cause for some to be feeling panicked.
Knowing their children are secure with education at a school that is also providing them two solid meals five days a week brings a tremendous amount of peace. Because of YOU, these children continue to learn and grow, with the nutrition to support their wonderfully expanding minds.
Lessons in Faith
We (Stephanie, Dawna, and Amy) were all moved by the deep faith we witnessed amongst our porter family on the mountain. And even in the most dire of circumstances, they continue now to give thanks daily for what they have. They believe they will survive the hardships; they appreciate everything around them.
Take some time today to pause and reflect on what you’re grateful for. We’re certainly grateful for YOU!
Meet the Kidz…
Meet Janet. She was rescued from a remote village, where her birth mother had given her to Janet’s grandmother to raise until she could be sold as a young wife in exchange for livestock. She has been reunited with her birth father in January 2021 and is now attending St. Patrick English medium school with her half-sister Glory near Moshi. She is beyond excited to be attending a real school and to have her new best friend, her sister, by her side.
