As the year is drawing to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the tremendous generosity and kindness you all have shown to our Kilimanjaro Kidz!
We lost a few sponsors, but others stepped up.
We reached out to the Star Power network, and they contributed wonderful auction items to help us restore our reserve funds.
Six folks joined me to climb Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness, and that allowed us to add some brand new students who will start new schools next month.
Even with the unrest during and after Tanzania’s National Election (October 29), all of our families stayed safe and 100% of our students continued with their education.
As I pack my bags to head off for our annual Family Gatherings, I carry a heart full of gratitude, joy, and overflowing love.
We’ll be taking videos this year, with noise-reducing microphones, of any and all students wishing to send messages back to you. Watch for those in January!
